Drop Pushups
Dallas Personal Trainer - A very uncommon exercise that is not frequently seen in use by a personal trainer or even a strength and conditioning coach, however it has excellent value to offer to the client/athlete who has reached a level at which performing this exercise is a possibility.
Stand right in front of a lightly padded mat and let you body fall forward toward the mat while holding your body perfectly straight as you go down. Land on your hands and immediately do a pushup without letting your body actually hit the mat. Stand back up and repeat for the specified number of reps. As you get better at these you will get to where you have the ability to do a Plyo Pushup when you land rather than just a regular pushup. As you keep progressing in your ability, just keep attempting to spring higher and higher off of your hands as you would on regular Plyo Pushups.
As always, we do not recommend performing any exercise without the supervision of a highly qualified Dallas personal trainer. This exercise description is for informational purposes only. Consult your doctor before attempting any workout program or attempting this exercise or any other exercise on this website.
