Woodchop Low to High - Isolation
Dallas Personal Trainer - A very popular exercise because of the strong following in the functional exercise movement going on. It is important to have a highly qualified Dallas personal trainer teach you this one. It is not an easy exercise to master and quality technique is very important.
This exercise is performed exactly like Woodchop Low to High (total body) except that for this version you will keep your arms perfectly straight throughout the entire movement, rather than pulling and pushing with them. The goal here is to simply make your arms an extension of your torso and force your obliques (your love handle muscles) to do all of the lifting. Since you won’t have your arms to help out on this one, you will have to use a lighter weight than you would use on the “Total Body” version of this exercise.
This exercise will be performed for the specified number of reps with the machine on one side of your body and then you will turn the other way and perform the specified number of reps for the other side.
