Side-arm Pistols
Dallas Personal Trainer - An alternate version of regular pistols in which the weight is held at the side to create an uneven pull on the torso and engage the core muscles even more than they already are on this very difficult Dallas personal trainer exercise.
These are performed exactly the same way as regular Pistols except for a few key differences: you will perform them standing on a small box or a bench, you will reach out and hold your extended foot with one hand, and you will hold a weight in your other hand. The reason for standing on an elevated surface is to prevent the weight in your hand from hitting the ground when you go into your deep squat. You can use any type of weight for this. You can use a short barbell, a dumbbell, or weight plates.
As always, we do not recommend performing any exercise without the supervision of a highly qualified Dallas personal trainer. This exercise description is for informational purposes only. Consult your doctor before attempting any workout program or attempting this exercise or any other exercise on this website.
