Push Pull Rotation
Dallas Personal Trainer - This is a favorite among many Dallas Personal Trainers who are part of the modern trend of functional training. This is a very useful exercise that follows the body's natural movement patterns.
Set up a Freemotion cable machine with one side a low level and the other side high. Grab onto two handles and turn to face one side. Make sure that you set yourself up so that the handle that will be pushed is coming from the low side and the handle that will be pulling is coming from the high side. Simultaneously pull the high handle in to the armpit of your pulling arm and push the lo handle out to a full extension of the arm. As you push and pull, rotate your torso as well, using your core muscles. After performing all of the reps that your personal training program indicates for one side, switch and do the same with the other side.
As always, we do not recommend performing any exercise without the supervision of a highly qualified Dallas personal trainer. This exercise description is for informational purposes only.
