One-arm Chin-ups
Dallas Personal Trainer - Such a pinnacle of bodyweight based training that most people have never seen anyone do this exercise and often don't even realize its humanly possible. It is very unlikely that a Dallas personal trainer will ever have to use this for even one client in their entire training career, however it is possible of course if the trainer is working with a very elite level athlete who is in their prime and who is very lean and strong.
Hang from a chin-up bar by one hand and pull your body up until your chin clears the bar. This is a very high level, intense exercise and in order to pull it off, you will have to contract your chest, arm, lat, and both fists as tightly as possible. This takes a high level of focus and a strong ability to contract your muscles very tightly. The more muscles that you contract throughout the rest of your body, the tighter you will be able to contract the target muscles that you are using to perform this exercise. Put your unused hand behind your back and make it into a tightly clinched fist. Keep it contracted as tightly as possible throughout the entire exercise.
As always, we do not recommend performing any exercise without the supervision of a highly qualified Dallas personal trainer. This exercise description is for informational purposes only. Consult your doctor before attempting any workout program or attempting this exercise or any other exercise on this website.
